In recent years, the number of global firms indicating that their executive compensation schemes are tied to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) metrics has grown rapidly. According to the global ISS Executive Compensation Analytics (ECA) database, the share of firms designating ESG metrics as key performance indicators (KPIs) for their executives has grown from 3% in 2010 to over 30% in 2021. This raises a number of corporate governance questions, such as (a) what are the reasons behind these arrangements, (b) how these ties are created, and (c) what the outcomes are in terms of performance (both ESG and financially)?

The Netherlands Business Council is pleased to participate in this webinar, which is an initiative of the Joint Finance Committee of DutchCham and the BLCC.

We are excited to welcome Professor Gaizka Ormazabal from IESE Business School (Ranked #3 in the World) for a Masterclass, sharing his insights into the "G" of the ESG framework.
